Strengths and benefits
- The Rider Bradawl is a useful tool for a range of small tasks, particularly for creating starter holes for drill bits. The pilot hole helps prevent wandering and reduces the risk of damaging the surrounding surface.
- The CNC machined stainless steel handle is turned for comfort and paired with a replaceable hardened chisel tip. The tip fits into a 12mm hole in the handle and is secured in place with a grub screw. The handle can also fit other tools with an 8mm shank, offering added versatility.
- Bradawls are one of woodworker’s oldest tools, with examples being found dating from the neolithic period, often used to scribe a line along the grain when laying out (scratch awl) and to make a small hole to create a start for a screw, they remain a simple yet essential workshop tool.
- Made in Britain.
