• An excellent package for newcomers to woodturning and turners upgrading to a new lathe.
• The 3.75″ diameter chuck body has a direct thread of M33 x 3.5mm, making it compatible with most midi sized and larger lathes. We have a range of thread adaptors to suit other lathes.
• The chuck body has a fully enclosed design to prevent a dust build up inside, the jaws are adjusted using an 8mm square drive key. The internal components of the geared scroll chuck are case hardened to provide a long life through many hours of use.
• Included in this chuck package are 3 sets of jaws. They can be quickly changed over using the hex key provided. We also include some spare screws in case any get worn out, or lost.
• The Dovetail Jaws have a dovetail on both sides and can be used for gripping a spigot or for expanding into a recess.
• The Pin Jaws allow for smaller workpieces to be gripped, using a serrated edge.
• The Wide Jaws are included for when you need to hold a larger diameter such as a vase base up to 120mm diameter.
• The rear of the chuck is equipped with locking screws which allow the chuck to be secured to the headstock spindle when running in reverse direction. Reverse direction should only be used when the chuck is mounted directly onto an M33 x 3.5 spindle thread. It should not be used in reverse when using a thread adapter.
• We also include a wood screw which clamps into the centre of the chuck for the initial mounting of bowl blanks. Use a 5/16″ or 8mm diameter drill bit to drill the blank.
• Supplied with dovetail jaws, Pin jaws, wide jaws, rear cover plate, wood screw, T-bar 8mm square drive for scrolling the jaws and T-handled hex key 4mm for removing the jaws.
